A few good questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I start from screenshots or a Steam link?

Yes. Upload up to five game screenshots, paste a Steam store link, or write your own description. AI suggests an editable project setup from the visual atmosphere or page information. These starting points do not analyze the existing game music, and preparing the draft uses no music tokens. Explore soundtrack creation.

Can AmbientScore score my game trailer?

Yes. Create a trailer project and upload a 15-180 second film. Review and edit the proposed musical timeline before generating a score. You can link a game soundtrack or upload reference music. Timings are approximate, so preview the result and finish precise alignment in your editor. Explore trailer scoring.

Which engines and tools can I export to?

Studio includes packages for Godot 4, Unreal Engine 5, Unity and Blender, with audio and destination-specific import helpers. You can also export WAV, OGG or MP3. Each package includes a manifest and license records; exporting existing results uses no music tokens. See export packages and import steps.

How is this different from generating individual songs?

Studio organizes music around a game project. Every request combines the game’s description, shared musical identity, track purpose, and scene instructions. You can explore multiple versions while keeping the soundtrack’s direction in one place. The degree of musical consistency depends on the connected generation provider.

Do I need to know music production?

No. Describe the world, choose the mood, and explain what each moment should feel like. Studio handles the soundtrack structure and generation requests. You stay in control of which versions make the final cut.

Can I use the music in a commercial game?

Yes. Music generated in AmbientScore can be used in commercial games, including paid releases. Commercial use is included with every token pack, and each export includes a license record for its tracks.

Does it support seamless loops and stems?

When the connected provider supplies them, Studio can include stems and identify seamless source loops. These options are only available for compatible results. WAV and OGG are preferable for looping; compressed playback behavior also depends on your game engine.

Can I try AmbientScore for free?

Yes. Every new account gets 3 free tokens once at signup, with no credit card required. Confirm your email to start generating. One token covers a track version up to 120 seconds; longer versions use more. Your tokens never expire, and you can buy a pack whenever you need more.

What do I need to start generating?

Create an account and a game project, then define the soundtrack’s identity. Live generation requires a connected music provider. Studio clearly shows when generation is unavailable, so you can still prepare your project without losing work.
